Spirula’s Founder and CEO, Ahmed Mekkawy, took part in RiseUp Summit 2015 as a speaker, for a workshop titled “Infrastructure as a Code” on Saturday December 12th. The event was a big gathering for the whole entrepreneurial ecosystem in Egypt and other countries that all came to exchange expertise and network in the two day event. The vibe in the event was huge, with 3k+ attendees in the same place: entrepreneurs, angel investors, incubators, accelerators, venture capitals, and industry leaders.

The presentation was about the benefits of using full DevOps automation to implement infrastructure as a code concept, with a basic ansible tutorial and quick docker overview.
